I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior
This is the first stanza of Aaron Shust's song "My Savior, My God." I love this song. In all my 'smarts' I don't have the ability to understand what God has planned in my life. I only know that He does have a plan. No where in the Bible does it say that we will understand all that God does in our life. No where in the Bible does it say that God will stop us from choosing our path. No...God will never presume Himself upon us...He simply stands quietly waiting for us to ask Him for guidance. God never told us that we have to understand His ways...He only tells us to trust Him and know that He will provide for us.
The chorus of this song goes like this:
My Savior loves, My Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God: He was, my God; He is
My God is always gonna be
Yes...Jesus love us. Yes...He lives. Yes...He is always there for us. Yes...He was our God. Yes...He is our God. And, Yes...He is always gonna be! Praise His name. No matter what, God is there waiting for us to call upon Him. I am so thankful that He waits patiently. So many times I just try to do everything on my own. So many times I let the enemy drag me down into the pit. So many times...why do I waste precious time? Well, I know that God is here...during all these times and I have decided...yes, I made a choice...I am not going to allow the enemy to be the victor. God is my Savior and He will be the One who leads me. Satan is under my feet and I'm gonna stomp all over his head!
I urge you, if you don't know this Jesus...call upon His name. He's just waiting for an invitation. Listen to this song and cry out to Him.
