My Hope is in the Lord

This morning for my devotional, I read Psalm 25.  I picked this particular passage because of the phrase my hope is in the Lord.  The entire Psalm is amazing and really helped me this morning.  I am so tired of hurting...I am so tired of feeling rejected...I am so...tired.  So, I looked up that phrase and it took me to the 25th chapter in Psalms.  I sat here reading...slowly and intently...so as to grasp every thing God had to offer me.

The Christian band, Third Day has a song that you may have heard...perhaps you haven't heard it.  The song is titled Day After Day.  This song is amazing.  It just helps remind me that the things that "shake" me to my core don't affect God...not like they do me.  They affect Him because they affect me, but He is NOT shaken.  A few of the lines in the song are this:

Day after day our God is reigning
He's never shaken
My hope is in the Lord
Time after time our God is faithful
Trustworthy Savior
My hope is in the Lord

God IS faithful.  I am so thankful for His faithfulness.  I am so thankful that God is not shaken by the things that seem to destroy us.  He is always there, waiting for us to reach up...He is trustworthy...He is always there.  In our times of feeling lonely...we are not alone.

If you are feeling 'shaken' today, listen to this song and let God do a work in you.  He will, if you'll let Him.

God is always there for us, we just don't always think to talk to Him. Feeling rejected is no fun. People may make us feel that way but God would and will never make us feel rejected as He won't reject His family. I guess I am tired of feeling rejected but I should always remember He is there for me if I will just talk to Him. Sometimes it is hard to remember and I believe that hurts Him. Blessings to you and I love you.

I love that song as well, and you're right; the lyrics are a wonderful inspiration. I take great solace in that He is always beside us, ever faithful, never shaken. What amazing strength and comfort that is!

Have a Blessed Day!
