Note to self...Shut up

Good Morning!  I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've been so busy that I just haven't had time to sit down and write.  However, this morning as I was having my quiet time with God, one of the verses I read really stuck with me.  I was reading in Habakkuk, chapter 1.  It starts out with Habakkuk complaining to God that He hasn't heard or answered his prayers.  Verse 5 is the first part of God's response to Habakkuk:  "Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed.  For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."

I love this because how often do we complain to our Lord that He isn't hearing our prayers or that if He hears, He doesn't answer?  God simply tells us to watch and be amazed!  God tells us that He is planning something that we can't even imagine...

I love this because it is so true.  IF we will just stop looking at ME, then we will be able to see what it is that God is doing on our behalf.  He is always with us and His word says that He will NEVER leave us or forsake us.  Why, then, do we complain that He isn't hearing us...

Note to self...Shut up and see what God is doing...stop looking at what I don't see and look at God!

Have a great day and trust that God is working for you and planning something totally amazing for you.

Habakkuk is one of my favorite prophets. His faith was strong and secure, the way I want mine. Great post!
