Finally...

I can't believe it...it's finally arrived.  I have waited for so long...a year, to be exact!  I'm talking about our annual V - A - C - A - T - I - O - N!!!  I love to travel so much and I love traveling with my hubby on our GoldWing!  We've been all over the country on the bike and we love it.  This year...I am extra excited and a little down.  I am extra excited because 2 of our 4 kids and their families will be joining us for our vacation.  I am sad because 2 of our 4 kids and their families are not able to join us.  Perhaps next year will be the one where we ALL get to go!

Our favorite vacation spot is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!  We've been going every year since 1995 with the exception of one when Jim & I decided to go to Colorado on the bike.  We'd been before when the kids were young, but this time we wanted to do it on the bike and since the kids were grown and not going with us...that's what we did.  Even though we love Colorado, it just wasn't the same not being in Myrtle Beach.  Last year, we decided to try something different again.  We headed up north intending to spend 10 days touring Wisconsin and Canada.  We left on Friday afternoon...by Sunday, we were on our way south to Myrtle Beach!  Seems that we just can't get away from it.  And that's ok with me...

This year...with 6 of my 8 grandbabies...it's going to be so much fun.  I can't wait to see the faces of 2 of them that have never seen the beach!  There will be 12 of u

s in all and this mama/nana will be so full of joy that I don't know if I will be able to contain myself!  Now that hurricane Irene has left (prayers still going out for the North East that was devastated by her), I think that our time in Myrtle Beach will be a sight to behold!  I am so thankful that God has allowed us the opportunity to take a vacation every year.  I am even more thankful this year since we get to have some of our babies, too!  They aren't really babies...but they are my babies...kids...grandkids...they are still my babies!  I'll greatly miss my others, but I look forward to the time when they can come along, too!

I pray that God will give me an opportunity to share Him with someone on this trip.  I pray that God will give me the R & R that I so greatly need after a very stressful and trying past few months.  I look forward to some refreshing 'nuggets.'
