Come as you are...

I recently heard a new song on our local KLOVE radio station.  It's by Pocket Full of Rocks and is titled "Come As You Are."  Here are the lyrics:

He’s not mad at you
And He’s not disappointed
His grace is greater still
Than all of your wrong choices

He is full of mercy
And He is ever kind
Hear His invitation
His arms are open wide

Chorus:
You can come as you are
With all your broken pieces
And all your shameful scars
The pain you hold in your heart
Bring it all to Jesus
You can come as you are

Louder than the voice
That whispers you’re unworthy
Hear the sound of love
That tells a different story

Shattering your darkness
And pushing through the lies
How tenderly He calls you
His arms are open wide

Now that you have read them...think about them.  I particularly love the chorus.  We can take all our brokenness, our scarred old self, it doesn't matter...He'll take it all.  Jesus loves us...this we know...the Bible tells us so.

Aren't you glad that it doesn't matter how 'bad' we think we are or how 'awful' our life is...God will take it and transform it?  I am so glad that He tenderly calls me with His arms open wide!!!

Walking the walk & talking the talk,

It amazes me that God loves me at all. But the fact that He takes me "as I am" just leaves me speachless. God is so amazing!
