Mama Bear

A friend of mine posted something on FaceBook today and it got me to thinking!  She posted this, "Getting between me and my family is like getting between a mother bear and her cub.  Never a good idea.....so beware!"  This statement is definitely the opinion of all the mothers that I know.  You can do anything you want to me...but you better leave my kids (grandkids, parents, hubby, etc.) alone!

So...how does God feel about this?  Well, I'll just bet that He feels the exact same way.  If we are a Christian, we are in His family!  We belong to Him and Him alone!  So when the devil starts messin' with us, don't you just know that the hairs on the back of God's neck (so to speak) stand up?  God is definitely up to the challenge.  The devil can only do what God allows him to do...or...what WE allow him to do! 

The Bible tells us that we are joint heirs with Christ!  Romans 8:16b-17 says it this way, "16b...we are the children of God; 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." 

I don't know about you, but that gives me confidence...confidence that God is my 'mama bear' so to speak!  Ain't nobody (the devil) messin' with this cub (me) because my Protector won't allow it!  Praise the Lord!

I am so thankful that I am an heir with Christ.  I have the promise of all that Heaven has to offer because I am a part of the Family of God!
