R & R is over...now, let's get to work!

Well, we are home.  It is always good to get back to normal after some time away but it is equally hard to NOT wake up and look out the window and see the ocean!  The ocean is one of my, if not the MOST, favorite places to be.  We have been going every year since 1995 with the exception of 1 year that we went to the mountains of Colorado.  Our kids basically grew up vacationing at Myrtle Beach and they love it as much as we do.  However, I think my son prefers the mountains.

Well, it's time to start thinking of fall and winter.  I love fall but winter, not so much!  The only good thing about winter is Christmas and FOOTBALL.  I love Christmas and I love football.  Is that weird?  Most women don't care for football, but I really love it.  I don't understand all of it but I love to sit with my hubby on a Sunday afternoon and catch a couple of games.  Fall is my favorite of all the seasons.  There is a crispness in the air that is awesome.  I love the cool air and sweater weather.  I love the colors of fall.  I love the season of harvest.

Harvest isn't just for crops.  Harvest is for the family of God, too.

"35You may say that there are still four months until harvest time.
But I tell you to look, and you will see that the fields are ripe and ready to harvest."
John 4:35 (CEV)

Harvest of ready souls isn't just for Fall...it is for all seasons.  But, with Fall just around the corner what better time to be aware of the souls that are out there.  Everywhere we turn there is a soul that may be ready for harvesting.  I want to be prepared for the harvest.  I don't want to just sit back and watch as others do the work.  I want to be part of the work, too.  So many people want to just sit back, do nothing and still reap.

"7Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God.
You will always harvest what you plant."
Galatians 6:7 (NLT)

How can we plan to harvest anything when we sit back and never plant?  My question to you is this...Have you planted any seed lately?  Are you prepared to harvest the seed that has been planted by you or by someone else?

Let's gather souls for the Kingdom.  Together we can grow God's family and reap a bountiful harvest!

Great encouragement, Debi! Jesus said that the harvest was ready but the workers were few. I don't want to sit back and wait for others to do the work. He that winneth souls is wise.
Glad you had a great time on vacation - it's nice to have you back. ;)

This is something we have been working on with church, planting seeds. Now we are coming to a time of harvest and it is so awesome to see people seek God. I want to always be ready to plant a seed and harvest when the time is right. Great encouragement.

Add another Debi and football lover to the list. I love the fall colors of yellows reds and bright oranges. And football with hubby is what I cherish as well. God sure knows how to show His beauty

I'm not sure how I was not following your blog yet, but God knows when He wants us to see something. I had to look up the Galations verse in my bible here. Thank you for sharing. Verses 9 and 10 hit me the hardest. Another way He is telling me not to give up.

Thank you again and many blessings! I look forward to reading more.
